The work analyzes the problem of organizing the public space of China in the context of impact on the socio-economic sphere. A special place is given to analysis of economic growth of China in the light of the aggrav ation of the ecological situation in the country. Two key strategies for the further organization of China’s public space are presented. The first strategy is the strategy of urbanization of China through the resettlement of villagers to megalopolises and large cities. The second strategy is the strategy of transition from large megalopolises to small settlements with a small population. At the present time the priority of the state is given to the first strategy that is connected with the need for further economic growth of the state. In an effort to preserve the realized strategy for the organizing of public space and at the same time to weaken environmental problems the state relies on a policy of resettlement of the population in the territory of the Russian Federation. One of the possible regions for the resettlement of the Chinese population is Zabaykalsky Krai. Now there is a process of coordination of the agreement between the Russian Federation and China taking into account possible benefits and further prospects for both states.
