PREDICTORS OF SPACE POWER: THE SEMANTIC ASPECT // ΠΡΑΞΗMΑ. Journal of Visual Semiotics. 2015. Issue 3 (5). P. 86-96

The space of social existence is considered as a “social reality, projected on its territory”. The spatial dimension of relations between society and government is understood as the phenomenon of the existence of special power spaces – contamination of architecture, landscape and regulating power relations. It shows the existence of predictors of the architecture and layout of these spaces of power, the semantics of which is a continuous differentiated, transformed and receives new historical, cultural, regional and individual psychological coloring.

THE SEMANTIC POTENTIAL OF ARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPE ENVIRONMENT // ΠΡΑΞΗMΑ. Journal of Visual Semiotics. 2015. Issue 4 (6). P. 47-64

Architectural and landscape environment (spatial text) is considered as an important component spaces of social life. We discuss the possibility to extend submission to the spatial text by including natural formations. It is shown that the architectural value of the text occur in the process of operating architectonic, domain-functional and socio-symbolic codes. These codes serve as means of existence of the variety of functions of architecture. An appeal to the primary and secondary codes of interested and prepared subject is a complex condition of perception, understanding and assigning values of the architectural environment.
